  • 10 -12 medium tomatillos
  • 2 roma tomatoes
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 medium white onion, diced
  • 15 -20 dried arbol chiles (stem's removed)
  • 1 tablespoon salt (add more if needed)
  • 2 cups water

directions

  • Add water in pan. Peel Tomatillos and place in pan, also add the roma tomato's, garlic, white onion, chiles de arbol & salt. Let boil and you will need to turn the tomatillos after about 10 minutes when they turn slightly brown. Let both sides brown. (about 20-30 minutes) Once done place everything in blender and blend until smooth. Let cool and serve.

  1. This recipe was okay. I think so many tomatillos makes it too tangy for this salsa. After making it I thought it still tasted like it was missing something. All I could taste were the tomatillos so I added more chiles to spice it up then it came out better.
