  • Mix together, boil for 2 hours or until thick. Stir often to keep sugar from sticking. Can be canned for later use.

  1. Having a surplus of wonderful green chili peppers I decided to make my own chili sauce. As DH likes it sweet and sour this one seemed to be perfect and so it was. I used 6 chilis per batch and made two batches. Excellent recipe, thanks for sharing!
     
  2. About 3 years ago I canned Chili Sauce with my father-in-law at my husbands request. "No one can make it like Dad" was all I heard. When we ran out - we didn't have the recipe and frankly Dad's up in age...so I thought I'd check here. This seemed about right to me - and boy was it ever! This is just perfect for what we Northers consider a Chili Sauce! We eat this on everything from eggs to Italian sausage! Great combination of sweet and sour! This recipe yielded 12 pint jars. Thanks for the family recipe Tim!
