Ingredients Nutrition

  • 2 34 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 12 teaspoon baking soda
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract (I always use a little more)
  • 13 cup whole blanched almond

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325.
  2. Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in the butter. Add egg and almond extract. Mix well.
  3. Gather dough up with fingers to form a ball. Roll out to ¼ inch. Cut with a 2 inch round cookie cutter (or a glass).
  4. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Place an almond on top of each cookie. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
