Chinese Buffet Style Crab

"I've always loved that sweet, moist crab served in little dishes at Chinese Buffets. It tastes so simple, but I knew that it wasn't just plain, baked crabmeat, there was a secret for making it special. Well, I found out what it was! At first I thought, "is that it?" But yes, so simple, and oh so yummy!"

  1. This was good, but I would agree that I don't think it's quite what they serve at Chinese buffets, at least that I've had. I topped it with some breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese for some crunch and extra flavor. Served with rice and veggies to complete the meal.

  2. This was very good, but not quite the same as what I've gotten in Chinese restaurants. I added a little more mayo and baked it in individual ramekins. My local restaurant also serves it a little bit browned on top, so I put it under the broiler for just a little bit of crispy. Thanks for posting! Made for Zaar Chef Alphabet Soup Game.

  3. I added some ranch and grated cheese, it was good but I think I should have added less dressing. (although it was my fault for forgetting I din't have a squeeze cap!)

  4. I have had the dish you are referring to at Chinese buffets but they use ALOT more mayo or something else because this seemed plain. It tasted good, but didnt blow me away. Thanks for an easy recipe! :)

  5. Sweet and rich, Dh wasn't too fond of this but I loved it. I baked it in a 400 degree oven with some muffins and it wasn't really bubbly after 15 minutes so you might want to allow a bit more time or use the broiler.
