- 1⁄4 cup oil
- 2 - 2 1⁄2 lbs broiling chicken, cut up
- 1⁄2 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon msg
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄2 teaspoon sugar
- 1⁄4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sherry wine
- 2 green peppers, diced
- 2 onions, sliced
- 1 (9 ounce) can crushed pineapple
- bamboo shoot, drained
- 1 (4 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
- 1 (8 ounce) can bean sprouts
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
directions
- Heat oil in a large skillet. Dip chicken parts in mixture of cornstarch, salt, MSG, pepper and sugar. Brown all sides.
- Add soy sauce and wine; cover and cook for 10 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
- Mix together all remaining ingredients in the skillet and cook over high heat for 1 minute. Place chicken on top, cover and lower heat and cook for 10 minutes longer.

<br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
