  1. Lightly grease the bottom only of a 9 1/4 by 5 1/4 by 2 3/4 inch loaf pan.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  3. In large mixing bowl, combine all dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
  4. Add butter, eggs and bananas and blend well on medium speed of mixer.
  5. Stir in small chocolate chips and walnuts.
  6. Bake at 350 for 60 to 65 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  7. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan.
  8. Cool completely.
