  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Butter one 10x15 baking pan, or 8x8 pan.
  3. In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugars together.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla; beat.
  5. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Stir into the sugar mixture.
  7. Add the chocolate chips.
  8. Spoon into baking pan.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes.
  10. Do not overbake.
