  1. I'm eating a slice fresh out of the oven right now, and it's awesome! I didn't have sour cream, so I emptied out my fridge and used 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt, 1/4 cup heavy cream, and 1/4 cup vanilla soy milk. I also used 1/2 cup of whole wheat flower and 1 cup of white bread flour. So easy! I'd recommend checking the done-ness of the bread around 50 minutes - mine was very done (but not burnt) after an hour.

  3. wow, we loved it. i am a big fan of simple baking, and this bread/cake is perfect. not too sweet, excellent light texture! the sour cream was subtle and added a nice zing. very easy too. i only had about 3/4 cup of chocolate chips so i filled the rest of the cup with chopped walnuts. this bread would probably be good with raisins or dried cranberries in place of the chocolate chips. thanks recipe junkie!
