  1. These were quick & delicious bars! Followed recipe as stated, except omitted the nuts. Microwaved the chocolate chips with some water for the drizzle topping. These were a hit with DH, every time I checked the plate one more was missing! Thanks for posting this recipe, Jolyn.

  2. Rated 7 stars by 3 stepsons... they loved them! DH rated 4 stars because he likes chewy rather than cakey bars (he ate 3 though! :-)). Great, easy, fast dessert. I too, left out the glaze.

  3. MMMMM! Yummy! Moist and full of chocolate!! Baked 5-10 minutes longer than recipe cause middle was still very wiggly. Boyfriend usually doesn't eat sweets, but took a good chunk of these barss!! Didn't add nuts and didn't drizzle chocolate on top. Added extra chocolate chips to make up for loss of nuts!lol

  4. These were so easy and it was perfect since I was craving sweets. These only stuck around for 2 days! I used egg beaters instead of whole eggs and chopped mixed nuts that we had leftover from a party. I just rinsed off the salt before using. I also used caramel bits with the chocolate. I didn't use the shortening, nor did I melt the choco chips.

  5. Love these! Easy, tasty, and freeze well. Making a batch now for an upcoming party and realized I never reviewed them to begin with. My bad 'cause they're oh so good!
