  1. I followed the recipe exactly and the batter was WAY too dry and crumbly. I still baked the cookies....didn't want to waste all the ingredients I had used.....but there needs to be some sort of moisture added to this. Cookies came out like baked cookie crumbs! :(

  2. I made this recipe for my boyfriend minus the nuts. its really chocolatey but thats how we like them. its my new favorite cookie recipe :) thanks!

  3. I made this recipe twice and they both turned out pretty good. However the dough was really crumby, and the cookies were rather dry, even when baked with the minimum amount of time. The cookies often broke coming off the sheet. They were definitely tasty, and I'll give them a third whirl... But next time I'll try adding less flour to see if it helps bring the dough together better.

  4. This is similar to a popular toll house cookie, wink wink. Anyway, the deduction of salt and egg in this recipe, made it perfect!! I also bought a inexpensive cookie dough scooper. It made the cookies very pleasing to the eye. Finally, the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe for my file.

  5. I made these cookies for my husband's staff and they just loved them!! Thanks Abbey

Tweaks

  1. I made a double batch of these cookies but substituted 3/4 cup vegetable oil for the second cup of butter and added two and a half cups of oatmeal in place of the double amount of flour. My brother and sisters thought they were the best chocolate chip cookies they had every had! I will definally be making them again.
