  1. Ohh and Ahh's were heard all around. This is so rich and delicious and of course there is the chocolate. Served warm with a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream. Just doesn't get any better than this. Easy to make and used ready made pie crust. Thanks Nurse Di for an incredibly delicious dessert.

  2. A piece of heaven in one bite. This was so sinfully delicious. I made this for a family birthday dinner. Some wanted it ala mode, others just preferred it plain. Either way, it was oohed and ahhed over and devoured. Thanks Nurse Di.

  3. Man was this good! I followed the recipe, but mixed in some toffee chips as well. It was great. I will probably reduce the chocolate to one cup and increase the pecans to 1 and 1/2 next time (hubby's request). It was a hit with all. Oh yeah, I did drizzle some caramel over the top when the pie was hot. Delicious!

  4. My antiquated electric oven had a little problem making this pie. Usually, my oven burns things, but this time was different: I had a beautiful, gently-risen gold shell over the pie crust... and a bunch of raw batter underneath! Even an additional 30 minutes of baking didn't help. The results, however, were so delicious that my guests didn't even realize there had been a technical error: it was like eating a pie made out of cookie dough. Once chilled, the shape held together nicely as well. The taste was out of this world! I will definitely try doing this pie again as soon as I can figure out what went wrong with the oven. I will not give up -- and next time, I'm sure I can put in that 5-star rating! :)

  5. This is my very FAVORITE DESSERT in the whole world, though I have only had it with walnuts, and will be looking forward to trying it with the pecans...I bet it is YUMMY :) I usually heat my pie, and then have it with a HUGE scoop of French Vanilla ice cream on top...and now I want a big piece of this LOL...Guess I'll have to go make one hahaha! It is very rich, and really curbs those chocolate cravings for sure... My nieces always request this recipe at Christmas, and for their birthdays they love it so much too!
