Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

"Oh my goodness! This is so rich and moist and best of all--easy! I got this recipe from a friend who made it 20 years ago, so I had to try it. Works well freezing for later use."

 1. This was a good cake but I have to think you have the tempeture and cooking times wrong. At 300 for 55 minutes this cake isn't just moist, its liquid. I baked at 325 for an additional 40 minutes.

I'm a 39 year old mother of 2 boys who can eat!! They are willing to try just about anything, so I'm always looking for new recipes. I work at a cotton gin during ginning season, so I have to leave the crock pot going alot in the fall. We raise show pigs and show steers, so we are out of town alot going to livestock shows to compete. We love to eat out and try new things, but we also have our rituals at each city we travel to. We have to eat at least once at Pappadeaux; Carrabas; and Salt Grass Steak House each trip! My favorite cookbook is Calf Fries to Caviar, but I love my RecipeZaar one as well. I'm the food and nutrition project leader for our 4H group, and I love to try the healthier recipes for our County and District Food Shows. We used the Aunties Vegetable Casserole last year, and won 3rd place at District, so we need something to top that!
