  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Lightly coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the butter and cream cheese.
  5. With an electric mixer on medium speed, beat for 1 minute, or until smooth.
  6. Add granulated sugar and brown sugar.
  7. Beat until light and creamy.
  8. Add the egg, egg white, and vanilla extract.
  9. Beat until smooth.
  10. Reduce the mixer speed to low, add the flour mixture in 2 parts, beating just until combined.
  11. With a spoon, stir in the chocolate chips.
  12. Drop the dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet.
  13. Bake for 9 to 12 minutes, or until golden.
  14. Cool the cookies on a rack.
  15. Repeat until all the cookies are baked.
