Chocolate Chokers

"This is my favorite chocolate cookie recipe! My great grandmother used to call these brownie drops, but my father renamed them "chocolate chokers" after he inhaled immediately before eating one, and started coughing. I recommend leaving them in the refrigerator over night before baking; however my great grandmother would just cover them and set them outside for a few hours in winter time (that might only work in the mid-west though). This is my most requested cookie from my friends and co-workers."

  1. I had to prepare a cookie recipe for the neighborhood Christmas Cookie Exchange. This one looked appetizing. It's delicious! I followed the recipe almost word for word. I used cocoa powder mixed with oil as a substitute for the unsweetened chocolate squares, but that's all I changed. It made 3 and 1/2 dozen cookies. I did allow the batter to sit in the fridge as suggested.
