  1. Preheat oven to 350°F Lightly grease baking sheets.
  2. Combine butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar in a large bowl. Beat with an electric mixer set at medium speed until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  3. Combine flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda in a small bowl and mix well.
  4. Add flour mixture to butter mixture, beating continually. Stir in chocolate chunks.
  5. Drop batter by tsp.'s onto baking sheets.
  6. Bake until lightly browned (8-10 mins).
  7. Cool on baking sheets for 1 minute.
  8. Transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
