  1. Preheat oven to 350º.
  2. MAKE THE CAKE:
  3. Combine first 3 ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring until butter melts.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Combine flour, sugar, and baking soda in a large bowl, stir in butter mxiture.
  6. Add eggs, and stir until well blended.
  7. Stir in buttermilk, vanilla, and marshmallows.
  8. Pour into a lightly greased 13x9" baking pan.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Remove from oven; spread icing over warm cake.
  11. ICING:
  12. Combine first 3 ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring until butter melts.
  13. Remove from heat; stir in powdered sugar, vanilla, and pecans.
  14. Spoon immediately over warm cake.
