Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies

“I've had this recipe longer than the friend that I got it from!!! This is a MUST every time there is a holiday or I'm asked to bring cookies for an event. My family devours them. They are very easy to make and it's a different recipe than any of the others I've seen with the same name. I sometimes have to add a little more cream to the dough if it appear too dry. We've made them with the frosting and without, dusting them with powdered sugar. Both ways are delicious!”

  2. Roll teaspoon of dough into ball. Indent ball with thumb and wrap dough around a cherry, making sure there are no holes in the dough. Place one inch apart on ungreased cookies sheet or stone. Bake 12-15 minutes. Cool. Dip in icing or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
