  1. Made these for Valentines Day, and they were delicious! They were perfect looking, and the cream cheese didn't sink like in some other reviews. I finished them with some pink icing and a chocolate on top... Mmm. Gonna use this recipe again and again.

  2. I've had this recipe for over 20 years, from a co-worker only she called them black bottom cupcakes. Also, for a shortcut you can use devils food cake mix.

  3. These little cupcakes are great. They were so easy to make! I decorated them with chocolate buttercream and some sprinkles just because why not?!

  4. Made these- they were so gooooood! Took a tip from one of the comments and added an egg in the 2nd set of ingredients, and then added pecans after they were well combined. My oven runs a bit hot, so 20 mins on 350F, rotating the pan at 10 mins. They don't look like they rose in the pic, but they totes did!

  5. Amazing recipe. I recently have been substituting the vanilla with Jack Daniels honey. By the way, do yourself a favor everyone. Do not skimp on the brand of cream cheese. Stick with Philadelphia/Philly cream cheese. The taste is phenomenal with the brand. I’ve tried other brands of CC and no way do they compare. Also I have made 2 batches of the cream cheese part since the batter fills up 2 muffin tins. This way there is plenty of cream cheese and no wasting batter.

I have 4 grown children and am pretty much retired from a business I started 33 years ago and my children now run. I have always loved to cook and try new recipes and 8 years ago I printed a cookbook. It was a big success in a Cancer Yard Sale as I donated it and almost sold out of my remaining books.....therefore it pushed me into having another updated version. printed for our 2nd sale in June.
