“Yummy, easy cake baked in the crockpot with minimal ingredients. My 2yr old son wanted to bake a cake in July, sooo, not wanting to use the oven (heating up the house) I put this in the crockpot. Please note I have a 6qt crockpot. I think if I had cooked it for a shorter time it would have been a bit more like pudding cake but it was delicious & super moist!!”

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 (18 1/4 ounce) box chocolate cake mix (I used BC Butter Recipe Chocolate)
  • 12 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup mayonnaise (I used Smart Balance Spinblend)
  • 12 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 12 cups water

Directions

  1. Beat cake mix, butter, mayo in medium bowl until well combined.
  2. Spray crockpot with non-stick spray.
  3. Pour batter into crockpot, smoothing out to an even thickness.
  4. Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  5. Pour water over top.
  6. Cover & turn crockpot onto low.
  7. Cook 1 1/2-2 hours.
  8. Great served with ice cream/whipped cream.
