Directions

  1. Melt chocolate in a bowl over a pot of simmering water then cool.
  2. Combine almonds and dates, set aside.
  3. Beat egg whites till soft peaks form, gradually add sugar, beat till thick and glossy.
  4. Lightly fold chocolate and date mixture through egg whites.
  5. Pour into greased, lined 23 cm spring form pan.
  6. Bake 180 C for 45 minutes or till skewer inserted in middle comes out clean and dry.
