  1. Used this recipe (without the Kahlua) for my home fountain on Christmas Day, and it was absolutely perfect. I ran the fountain for 5 hours straight, and the chocolate was just as good after all this time as when I first put it into the fountain. I used 1 bag of milk chocolate, and 1 bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips, plus the unsweetened chocolate and 3/4 cup of oil. The chocolate was smooth and rich, not too sweet and never scorched. This will remain my go-to recipe when using this fun fountain. (I had over a cup of the chocolate mix left over at the end of the evening, and after it hardens, it makes delicious truffles rolled in 10x sugar or cocoa powder. ) A keeper, for sure! Thanks for posting!

  2. Just a hint to those thinking of adding Kahlua...Warm the Kahlua before adding. Adding a room temperature or cold Kahlua to warm chocolate will seize the chocolate.

  3. I wish that you would had written in your instructions on how to incorporate the Kalua. I had melted 48 oz. chocolate chips and the product was perfect! Not knowing, I added the Kalua and it seized the chocolate. I ended up with plates of pretzels, marshmallows, fresh fruit and no fountain. Please, please add the instructions.

  4. Made this for a friend's birthday party at work. It was awesome! Served it with granny Smith apple slices, waffle cut potato chips, vanilla oreos, and strawberries. I did not add the kahlua. I was surprised when I disassembled the fountain and poured out the remaining chocolate into a container that I still had about 1/2 (maybe a little less) leftover! When we were done with the fountain, it seemed as though we had consumed most of the chocolate because it was not "flowing" very well anymore and looked somewhat empty. No worries, will use the rest on ice cream, or just dip into the container!

  5. I used this recipe minus the kahlua for a school function. It tasted fantastic, was easy and came out perfect. I can't imagine it tasting even better, so looking forward to trying it with the Kahlua with my own family. I refilled the fountain 4 times every 20 minutes for a two-hour dance with 220 8th graders. Can't wait to do it again next year
