- 2 cups vanilla yogurt
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups sugar
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄8 cup unflavored gelatin
- 1⁄3 cup cocoa powder
directions
- Place two cups of yoghurt into a yohurt cheese maker and put in the refrigerator for 3 hours. If you do not have a yoghurt cheese maker, you can line a colander with cheese cloth and place the yoghurt in the colander instead. This removes liquid from the yoghurt.
- In a sqaucepan combine milk, sugar, salt and gelatin. Mix well and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes. Allow this to cool.
- Add the cocoa powder to the saucepan and mix well. Add the strained yoghurt. Discard the liquid that has separated from the yoghurt.
- Place the yoghurt mixture in your ice cream or frozen yoghurt maker for 20 to 40 minutes depending on the machine.
