Chocolate Mallow Fondue

"A recipe from the Dec/Jan 2k1 issue of Taste of Home. So easy and great fun for the whole family! To remove the marshmallow creme from the jar I use a rubber spatula & the fluff just sticks to it. Otherwise microwaving it for a few seconds at a time might make it release easier."

  1. I made this for work today and was quite pleased. Easy to fix in the morning then reheat in the fondue pot at lunch time. Just keep it in the refrigerator until needed so you could even do it the day before. I used a light spray of cooking oil on my spatula to make getting the fluff out of the jar. I will definitely make it again!

  2. This tasted a lot like melted fudge! Yum... I forgot to add the milk, but I think it was better that way. Very thick and delicious and stuck very well to anything I dipped into it.

  3. I made this for a dinner at our house prior to a Valentine's Day Father/Daughter Dance. Our guests loved it! I made it on the stove and poured it into our mini crockpot, then kept it warm in there. My first time making fondue and it was a big hit! Served it with strawberries, pineapple, marshmallows and pretzels. Will make again!

  4. This was stellar. My kids made this with a little help from Dh. We would love to try it with fresh fruit like strawberries. We did use apples and Nilla wafers. Yum.

  5. Made this for my daughter's 9th birthday. She wanted a fancy party so of course fondue was on the menu. This was really good. All the kids and adults enjoyed it. Prepared it in a double boiler on the stove and transferred some to a small crockpot to keep warm and the rest to the fondue pot. Made a lot but there is only a tiny bit leftover for today.

Hi! I am happily married with two children, 26 and 12. For nearly 10 years when this site was Recipezaar and then Food.com I hosted several different forums. I enjoyed making, creating, reviewing, and photographing recipes, but what I miss the most are the friendships I made here. I was Food Editor for the Mill Creek View Newspaper in Mill Creek, WA. for about 4 years during that time. Currently I am the office manager at a small mental health clinic. I'm not on this site much anymore, but I do continue to appreciate and respond to all reviews posted to my recipes.
