1. Very rich and creamy.I skipped the coffee just because I gave it up. But I`m sure it would be just fabulous with it. Great recipe!

 2. 11/03/11

Made this frosting for a devil's food cake. It is really delicious: super creamy, light and not too, too sweet. I added strong coffee (a little more than what was called for) but next time will try Kahlua to taste the difference. The coffee flavor in the frosting is subtle and rich. I didn't have heavy cream but half and half seemed to work well.
All in all a great "adult" frosting - will kids like the coffee flavor? Not sure, but other liquids could be added to make it more kid friendly.

 3. Holy lord this is good. I made it exactly as the recipe called and it turned out so great. I needed something to "spice up" a chocolate cake and boy was this what it needed. YUM!!! Keeper recipe

 4. Holy nelly, this icing was way more delicious than I thought it would be. It made my cupcakes complete!

 5. I have been looking for a recipe like this FOREVER. I did reduce it to a 1/2 layer amount because I only had a little 8 X 8 pan of brownies, but the icing barely made it on them. I was ready to eat it right out of the bowl. I used Kahlua and Folger's crystals. Thanks for posting!

 1. Delicious! I used coffee instead of the liqueur and it gave it that little extra flavor but was not overpowering.

I moved out here many, many years ago from Ottawa, Canada - so I am blessed in having two wonderful heritages! I suffer from compulsive obsessive behaviour with regard to food and my psychiatrist thought it would be a good idea to find a 'society' where many have the same problem and try to find a cure. So far, I've copied a couple of thousand recipes from this site and my psychiatrist has thrown the towel in and refuses to answer the phone when I call. What did I do wrong? Got 3 kids that keep me on the go - 10 and under at this point (2008) - I may not get round to updating this for a few years, so you'll have to do your own maths. I teach English full-time and Greek Cookery part-time. I would like to make the cooking part of it full-time and the English Grammar part of it part-time. That's all for now.
