  • Preheat oven to 350°F Line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper. Do not grease.
  • In a bowl, combine vanilla wafers, 1/3 cup butter, and granulated sugar. Pour mixture into prepared pan, and press mixture evenly over the bottom and sides of the pan.
  • In a large bowl, beat eggs with a fork. Stir in corn syrup. Add brown sugar, ½ cup butter, and vanilla and stir until sugar is dissolved. Stir in almonds and chocolate. Place prepared pan on a baking sheet. Carefully pour filling into pan and bake in a 350°F oven for 40 minutes. Remove the outer ring of the springform pan before presentation.

  1. Oh, yes! This is a great treat for any chocoholic! I used the semi-sweet chocolate, & the chocolate, along with the almonds made for a very delicious dessert. My son & his wife managed to confiscate half of it for another day, but that was fine, 'cause I'd made TWO of 'em ~ One for the 4 of us & another one to share with a neighbor family!
