Chocolate Peanut Butter Squares

ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup corn syrup
- 1⁄4 cup brown sugar
- 1 dash salt
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups Rice Krispies
- 1 cup corn flakes, lightly crushed
- 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 ounces semisweet chocolate, melted
directions
- Combine first 3 ingredients, bring to a boil, stir in peanut butter. Remove from heat add remaining ingredients. Press into 9 X 9 X 2 pan and chill. Cut into squares. Spread 2 oz melted semi sweet chocolate over top.

I didn't eat this, but my two boys and my DH did. It was a hit with all of them and super easy to make!! Made for Spring PAC 2010 -
This is a nice variation on the usual rice krispies bars! These squares will make a nice addition to my counter top at this evening's hosted group! The combo of PB & chocolate is great in these tasty treats! [Made & reviewed for one of my adopted chefs in this Spring's PAC]
