- 1 (8 ounce) package semisweet baking chocolate
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1⁄4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 1⁄2 cups pecans, halved
- 9 inches pie crusts
directions
- Preheat the oven to 350.
- Melt chocolate and butter in a large microwave bowl on high for 1-2 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted.
- Brush the bottom of the pie crust with a small amount of the beaten egg. Stir sugar, corn syrup, eggs and vanilla into the chocolate mixture until well blended.
- Stir in nuts.
- Pour into pie crust.
- Bake 55 minutes.
- Cool on a wire rack.
