Chocolate Pecan Pie

"I found this in a Pillsbury cookbook and changed it just a little. It is a great alternative to my regular pecan pie when I want a little something extra, like chocolate. Cooking time includes cooling time."

  • Heat oven to 325 degrees, Place pie crust in a 9 inch pie plate.
  • In large bowl, combine the corn syrup, sugar, butter , vanilla and eggs, beat well. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Pour into pie crust.
  • Bake at 325 degrees for 55 to 65 minutes or until deep golden brown and filling is set. Cool 1 hour or until completely cool.
  • Top with whipped topping and garnish with additional pecans if desired.
  • Keep refrigerated.
