  1. Preheat oven to 350. In a bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
  2. In mixing bowl blend butter and sugar using electric mixer. Add corn syrup, egg, and vanilla; mix until mixture is well blended and smooth.
  3. Add flour mixture, do not over mix. Fold in pecans and chips. Spread evenly into ungreased 15x10x1 inch baking pan.
  4. Bake 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool; cut into bars.
