  • Put the cream cheese, chopped nuts (optional), powdered sugar, and cocoa powder in a mixing bowl.
  • Stir until everything is well mixed.
  • Roll the mixture into marble-sized balls in the palms of your hands.
  • You can make them bigger if you want.
  • Roll truffles in the sprinkles and/or nuts.
  • If you like, put them in tiny truffle cups.
  • ENJOY!

  1. Cocoa was overpowering and made it too bitter. I had to add more powdered sugar to mixture. For some reason, this would not form into balls (maybe because of larger amount of sugar??). Anyway, it tasted pretty good, so I grabbed a spoon and I ended up eating it out of the bowl.
     
  2. I set this in the freezer for 15 min as reccomended and rolled tsp. of it in chopped nuts. It was rich and smooth. a bit hard to handle, so those tiny spatulas come in handy here. Over all, a thumbs up!
     
  3. I had no trouble with the mix. I did refrigerate it before shaping it and greased my plams before handling it.
     
  4. I must admit that I had found it nearly impossible to work with the mixture as directed in recipe. I added about a cup extra powdered sugar to make it more workable. The mixture was still really thin and made little "patties" instead of balls. But they tasted very good and we ate them all.

Hi im Katie and i live in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on the verge of moving to Louisiana. My favorite cookbook it well, this is a hard question...well i dont know, i have to many. I love to cook, my favorite recipe to make is probably, cornbread from scratch, chocolate truffles from scratch, and my favorite, SPAGHETTI!!! (from scratch) I know this may sound weird but im almost 12 and can cook about 18 things from scratch!!!!! I do all the cooking in my house, my mom loves it. My mom is wildheart.
