- 9 links chorizo sausage
- 2 poblano peppers, seeded and minced
- 2 cups tomato sauce, Spanish style
- 2 tablespoons cilantro, minced
- 3 slices cheddar cheese, halved diagonally
directions
- Preheat oven 400°.
- Remove sausage from casings and shape into 6 burgers.
- Place a tablespoon or so of minced pepper in center of each burger and press into meat.
- Combine sauce and cilantro and spoon over burgers.
- Bake uncovered, basting occasionally, for 20-25 minutes, or until completely cooked.
- Place a piece of cheese on top of each burger just before serving.
