  1. In medium bowl, stir together the first 6 ingredients. In a large bowl, cream sugar and margarine until light & fluffy. Beat in egg. Add flour mix and 1 T milk and blend thoroughly. Chill dough for 1 hour. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness on a slightly floured board and cut into desired shapes. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until cookies are slightly browned at the edges. Colored sugar may be added before baking or cookies may be frosted when baked and cooled.
