  1. Preheat the oven to 350. Mix the margarine or butter and the sugar and then add the eggs and vanilla. Add the flour, wheat germ, oats, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg and mix well. Fold in the nuts and chocolate chips. Place on cookie sheets about an inch apart and bake for about 15 minutes until golden.
