1. I made this with pork chops (salted), mango chutney, lime (instead of lemon) juice, and put it in the oven. This is a good recipe. I'll probably try it again with a tropical fruit (mix) chutney.

 2. I gave it a five simply for the flavor of the sauce. If you like chutney, it was fantastic. It looked a hair watery when it came off, but thickened nicely before serving. My only complaint was that I think the pork chops were a tad overdone. I might try cooking them for 6 hours instead of 8. A very nice, simple, but elegant meal, served with couscous and green peas!

 3. This was a very tasty recipe! I used my own mango chutney recipe, #134246, because it's just better than Major Greys, and I used chicken breasts. The cooking time was only about half or less in my crockpot. It's one of those big ones and fairly new, so that could be the problem. I only needed about 3 hours cooking time on High, and it was done. Very Nummy!

I am a mother of 17yr-15yr-12yr old children. I work 3 days a week outside of the home as a pharmacist. Dinner is always a sore subject for me, because there is never time to make it, and the kids don't eat it anyway. My goal this year is to just forget the kids and make what I think my husband and I want, and then they'll have to try new foods out of desperation!
I've noticed that I tend to give 4 stars as my top score when reviewing a recipe. Am I waiting for that once in a lifetime, mind altering taste? Or am I just too picky? Oh well.....
