"It's been years since I've made this cinnamon bread and the recipe was just sketched on a piece of paper. I'm unsure where it came from. Can't wait to try it again."

  • 1. Grease a loaf pan.
  • 2. Add Soda to Milk.
  • 3. Cream shortening & Sugar, add eggs, milk and vanilla. Stirring after each addition.
  • 4. Add dry ingredients (Flour, baking power & Salt).
  • 5. Stir until well combined.
  • 6. Combine the 2 Tbs of white sugar and the cinnamon in separate small bowl.
  • 7. Spread 1/3 of the batter in the pan.
  • 8. Sprinkle with the Cinnamon Sugar mixture.
  • 9. Repeat 2 more times.
  • 10. Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.

  1. This is a very easy and quick recipe to make and not to mention very tasty! I would have given this 5 stars if you had included the oven temperature. I cooked this at 350 degrees and it took 35 minutes to be done. Thanks for sharing this recipe. Made for My 3 Chefs event.
