  1. The substance was indeed too thick, but after adding milk and a little bit of water it turned out really great.

  2. Pancakes had good flavor but were dense and chewy. Not very good combination.

  3. Delicious! Served these for breakfast on Thanksgiving morning and everyone really enjoyed them. Like the other reviewers I reduced the cinnamon to 2T. I use Penzey's Vietnamese cinnamon which is stronger than most grocery store types; even so, I could have used 3T without the cinnamon being completely overwhelming. Served with butter and a choice of maple syrup or honey. Chopped toasted pecans would be a delicious addition to the batter. I suspect I overmixed the batter a bit, the pancakes were slightly heavy, so I'll watch that next time. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

  4. These were incredibly tasty, and made a very nice change of pace from regular pancakes! Everyone loved them, and I'll definitely be making these again! I reduced the cinnamon to 2 tablespoons, and but apart from that, I kept to the recipe. I got 13 pancakes out of the batter. Delicious! Thanks! :-)

  5. We are pancake people! Made these this morning with one other pancake recipe, and these won all the votes, hands down. Reduced honey to 1/2 cup and used 2 T cinnamon. Three teenaged boys and one biggish husband, all very happy! Easy and delicious. Even better with some chopped walnuts on top! Will make again soon. Thanks!

Tweaks

  1. So I would change the recipe just by having 2 cups of milk instead of 1 an 1/2.

  2. As the other reviews suggested, I added less honey and cinnamon
