“Since I'm broke this year, I've been looking for ideas for cheap, do-it-yourself Christmas gifts. I can't wait to make these pine cones for my friends and co-workers! While this recipe that I found is for the cinnamon-scented pine cones you find at houseware and craft stores, I'm pretty sure you could probably use vanilla or spiced orange scents, or whatever you would like.”

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 20 pinecones
  • cinnamon-scented oil

Directions

  1. Spread pine cones on foil-covered cookie sheet and cook at 250 degrees for one hour. This will kill any critters that might be in there.
  2. When cool place in a heavy plastic bag and sprinkle well with the Cinnamon Oil Scent. Seal tightly and let set for about four weeks.
