  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Peel and slice all potatoes to the width of a nickel (2 mm slicing disc makes quick work of it).
  • Toss slices with garlic in a large bowl, easiest by hand.
  • Oil a 9x9 baking dish or use silicone.
  • Layer potatoes in 3 layers -- putting 1/3 of the cheese on each layer.
  • Heat cream over medium heat and add salt and pepper. Pour over casserole.
  • Gently press to be sure all is covered.
  • Bake 1 hour or until potatoes are tender.
  • Let sit 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
