  1. I had many many more berries than cake mix, so I did a modified version of this recipe: <br/>I used fresh huckleberries, about two-deep in a 9x13 pan. Then I added about 2/3 box of yellow cake mix. On top of that I added a mixture of 1 stick butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and equal parts of the remaining cake mix and Bisquick. I baked it at 350 for about 40 minutes until the top browned and the berry juice bubbled through the cracks. It was a big hit at a family gathering.

  2. This recipe did not turn out well at all but I think it has potential. Perhaps preparing the cake mix and mixing it into the pie filling would work better. The cake mix just gets hot and stays dry on top of the filling. Keep experimenting!

  3. Was craving something sweet last night. Had a yellow cake mix, a can of apple pie filling and WA-LA! a delicious cobbler! Very easy to prepare, took 20 mins. and came out delicious. Thanks for posting.
