Cocoa Float

"A rich chocolaty desert sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. Very easy to make and good hot or cold. Serve by itself or with cream/milk or ice cream. My husband made this for me and I'm hooked.... as are our kids!!!"

  • In medium mixing bowl sift flour
  • Mix in the baking powder as well as the salt and sugar and 1 tablespoons cocoa.
  • Sift again.
  • Add the milk and the butter and vanilla.
  • Mix until smooth.
  • Turn into greased casserole dish.
  • In small mixing bowl combine the brown sugar and cocoa.
  • Sprinkle this mixture over batter in pan.
  • Pour the boiling water over top of mix.
  • Bake in 350 oven for 30-40 minutes.
  • Serve warm by itself or with milk or cream or ice cream. Also good served cold.

  1. This is a great dessert for chocolate lovers. I've been making this for years. A scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream to top it off makes it special and your guests will think you spent hours in the kitchen!
