Thank you so much for posting this. I am just starting to try adding shakes to my diet and was getting bored. The oats are a nice change. I felt the shake wasn't as balanced as I was looking for though so I added 1/2 a banana (instead of sugar), 1 tbsp coconut oil to get some heathy fat and to feel full longer (slightly heated and drizzled in while blending), vanilla protein powder instead of the vanilla, and I used coconut milk because that is what I had. I'm not sure I should even review this with all my substitutions but I was so happy to get the idea for the oats I had to say thanks! Oh I also used Starbucks via for the coffee. 1 packet of the Italion Roast will probably work great for you coffee lovers.

Made for a night time snack when I wanted a coffee "something". Used unsweetened coconut milk (what I had) Not bad!! I would just have to say that since I like things sweet I definitely had to add sweetener. Used Sugar free maple syrup (a bit of it) I would also up the coffee a little next time. Over all good idea!

Nice smoothe taste. For my personal preference, I agree with previous reviews in that I will add more coffee in the future and I think possibly even a fine espresso would be good for coffee lovers. The "grinding" of the oats may be best done with a coffee mill or spice grinder. The blender still left a few larger pieces. Overall, I really like the simplicity and smooth flavor. Thanks for sharing. ~Buddha
