  1. In a large Dutch oven, combine potatoes and water to cover. Bring to a boil over high heat; reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes or until tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. In same Dutch oven, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add coleslaw, and cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until wilted. Add milk, cream, and green onion; bring to boil. Remove from heat; add potatoes. Using a potato masher, mash potatoes until mixture is smooth. Stir in salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
