- Place cabbage, carrot and onion in a bowl that can be covered.
- Sprinkle with celery seed.
- Bring to a boil the sugar, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.
- Pour boiling mixture over veggies. Do not stir veggies.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight or for about 6 to 8 hours.
