  1. Cream butter and one cup sugar.
  2. Beat eggs in one at a time.
  3. Beat in sour cream and vanilla.
  4. Add dry ingredients and beat to combine completely.
  5. Put half of batter in a buttered bundt pan.
  6. Sprinkle with half of combined topping ingredients (1/4 c sugar, walnuts (which are optional), and cinnamon (to taste)).
  7. Add remaining batter.
  8. Sprinkle with remaining topping.
  9. Bake at 325F for 45 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean or with just a few crumbs.
