Colossal Cookies

"These are a flourless cookie. Lots of oatmeal, peanut butter and chocolate. 3 of my favorite ingredients! Makes a lot. The dough freezes well. I usually pre-portion the dough and pull out just what I need."

  1. I made these for my cookie exchange this year. I used white chocolate chips, mini hersheys kisses and some heath pieces. They turned out really good with a nice chewy texture.

  2. These cookies really went over well with my family. I use a small scoop since we like small cookies and had about 100 cookies in the batch. I found that it was easier to use 18 oz containers of peanut butter and oats then to be exact in the measurements. It worked really well, and makes mixing up a batch easy. They also froze extremely well, added 1 minute to the baking time, and it worked like a charm.

  3. Beautiful big flavorful cookie - and all that with no flour! Thanks

  4. These ended up being pantry cleaner cookies for me, lol! I was completely out of plain old chocolate chips, so I just tossed in a total of two cups of four different "ends" (M&M's, Ghirardelli milk chocolate chips, Nestle's caramel swirl chips, and Nestle's vanilla milk chips). I think when I make these again, I'm going to stick with the mixed bag of chips, because they were really good that way. I found the oats to be a little bit too prominent a flavor/texture when they were fresh out of the oven, but I think the flavor improved after the cookies were cooled. Not that they tasted bad when they were first baked, they just seemed a bit granola bar-ish to me at first ( I was expecing something a little bit more gooey, I think). All in all, very good cookies! Thanks for posting! Made for PAC Fall 07

I am the proud stay-at-home mom of 3. I named myself 'The Family Maker' because my son refers to all of my cooking shows that I watch as 'maker shows.' I love food and I love hearing people say how much they love to eat what I make. <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/Adopted1smp.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket">
