  1. I have made company potatoes many times, but don't have a specific recipe; I just go to the internet and search for one. This was the first one that popped up. It was absolutely swimming in butter -- when cooked, there was a river of butter running all over the top. It was gross. I'm not one of those people who wants to lighten up an obviously rich and decadent recipe. But it would have worked with 1/2 the sour cream and 1/2 the butter, possibly no butter at all. After it cooled some, I tilted the casserole and poured a whole bunch of butter off of the top. Try a different recipe for what is normally a very delicious casserole.

  3. I have been using this recipe for several years, it is always a hit !! Thanks for posting so I have easier access to it !

  4. This is one on the most UNBELIEVEABLE potato recipes I've ever tried! In MN, we call them Dairy Bake Yum!! Tried once to make them "low-fat" but they tasted like garbage. Its an absolute must to use full fat everything. The only thing I do differently is leave out the onion and top them with durkee onions instead of the corn flakes YUMMY!
