  1. We loved these little guys. We found they were a bit easier to cut first before topping with the cookie dough, frosting, and sprinkles. We even added a little glitter dust for a shimmer effect!

  2. These were SO good!! Took them to a party and they were devoured! The only thing I did different was to add mini chocolate chips to the cookie dough. Very tasty; these have been added to my "make often" file!! Thanks for sharing!

  3. Wow were these easy to make and delicious to eat! We loved them tonight. But be prepared to need a glass of milk to drink while eating them. They were rich! But very good! We couldn't eat more than two at a time. But now that I am typing this, I want to eat another one. LOL. This brownie is more like a layered bar. Don't expect it to taste like a brownie with chunks of cookie dough. I melted the chocolate and shortening in the microwave - very easy recipe! We really enjoyed them tonight!!! Thanks for a unique brownie recipe.

  4. I made these with a brownie mix as directed on package and baked them about 20 minutes. I increased the cookie dough frosting by half again as much since my son is a cookie dough fiend- he's 9 and he loved these- for me 4 stars but for him probably more than 5 just for the cookie dough part! I sprinkled the top with a few toffee bits but for me nuts would be better since these are quite sweet.

  5. Absolutely amazing! It is like a giant bar of sweet goodness! These are so addicting!!

I'm a stay at home mom with 3 adorable children-an 8 year old daredevil son, a 5 1/2 year old princess and a wild little 2 year old girl! I love to cook, and like having my little helpers in the kitchen! I usually love recipes that are completely from scratch (I still love them actually) but right now my focus is on having any kind of food ready by mealtime! It's a little crazy here lately. Every summer we have a huge organic garden, apple orchard and raspberry and blueberry patches, along with a woods full of wild foods waiting for me to learn what they are so I can collect them. I'm learning about wild mushrooms first, so if anyone has any tips, let me know. We also eat wild venison which my husband and I hunt ourselves. It's our favorite meat, since it's lean, organic and cheap! Some of my hobbies are: hiking, biking, rock climbing, gardening, playing in the water with my kids, or just swinging in the hammock with a good book. I go stir crazy if I spend too much time inside.
