Copycat French Vanilla Liquid Coffee Creamer

"A friend and I have recently become addicted to coffee with flavoured creamers (mmm... International Delight...), and then... I ran out - and so did the local store! So I hunted down recipes online until I found this one - it's sweet and creamy and (most importantly - to me, at least) not a powder!!! It's from thriftyfun.com."

directions

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend well (or in a mason jar and stir up sweetened condensed milk as it will settle at the bottom, and then put lid on it and shake like crazy!). Store in the fridge. Will keep for approximately two weeks.
  • Variations:

  • a) Add 1 Tbsp cocoa and 1 tsp almond extract for a chocolate almond flavor.
  • b) Add 1 tsp almond extract and 1/2 tsp orange extract for cappuccino.
  • c) Add 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp almond extract for amaretto.
  • d) Add specialty flavor syrups (from specialty coffee shops and the like) as needed for additional flavors.
  • Please note that so far I've only tried the vanilla - and it's wonderful!
  • Enjoy!

  1. Wow, this was awesome! It tastes better than International Delight. Thanks for the recipe.

  2. Thank You. Thank You. This recipe is GREAT. Spending almost $4.50 a bottle for the other stuff is madness. Tastes good (i use regular not low-fat) and am very impressed. Give it a "shot" in your coffee.

  3. Good Morning- I just made International Foods Copycat version for Chocolate Truffle Mint Coffee Creamer, using your basic recipe. Same amount of sweetened condensed milk, and 2% milk. I used 3 T. of Hersheys Cocoa-unsweetened, and 1 t. pure peppermint extract. This is about as close as it gets! I did have to sweeten my Fiance's cup with 1 t. sugar, but that's his addiction. This came out FANTASTIC! I also made your version for the chocolate almond using 2 T. of the cocoa-excellent as well! Thank You so much for posting this recipe! Di

Tweaks

  1. Use half and half instead of the milk makes its more creamy!

  2. Tried this recipe because I ran out of creamer the day before and didn't remember to pick any up. I used evaporated milk and steamed that a little in the pot. I then added 4x the vanilla, a few handfuls of brown sugar, probably a half cup or so of confectioners sugar, watered down 2% milk to about 1/1, and a giant scoop of whipped cream. Mixed it all up and decided to stick with the premade. I'll remember to grab the creamer in a squirt bottle so I can keep it on the shelf. Thanks for the recipe!
