  1. In a large pot crisp bacon, remove from pan and set aside.
  2. Add hot italian sausage to pan and brown and crumble
  3. Remove excess fat from pot and add onion and garlic.
  4. Crumble bacon then add to pot.
  5. Cook til onions are translucent.
  6. Add water, chicken soup base, and potatoes
  7. Cover and simmer til potatoes are fork tender
  8. Uncover and add milk and kale.
  9. Cook til kale is tender.
