“The flavors of Cordon Bleu in a oven-baked, breaded chicken strip. Easy enough for a weeknight, can be prepped in the time it takes the oven to preheat, make a quick salad or vegetable while the chicken cooks for an easy meal.”

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 12 lbs chicken tenders
  • 6 slices deli ham, smoked, cut in half lengthwise
  • 0.5 (13 2/3 ounce) packagebaby swiss Cheez-It crackers, crushed into coarse crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Spray a large rimmed baking sheet with no-stick spray, or line with no-stick foil.
  3. Place egg & water in a shallow dish, blend with fork until well mixed.
  4. Place cracker crumbs in another shallow dish and stir in pepper.
  5. Wrap each chicken strip with a half piece of ham, secure with toothpick if needed.
  6. 6. Roll in cracker crumbs, then in egg mixture, then again in cracker crumbs.
  7. Place on cookie sheet.
  8. Bake 15-25 minutes, turning halfway through. Chicken should register 165° on instant read thermometer.
